Bobby Alarcón

Your next composer, sound artist, and collaborator.

Bobby Alarcón is a composer for film and sound designer from San Francisco, California. With a plethora of inspirations stemming from his Latino roots, passion for orchestral music, and experience in electronic music, Bobby’s music promises something fresh yet familiar.

Bobby began studying film composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, under the direction of Marco d’Ambrosio and continued his education with a Masters of Music in Scoring at the Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain.

In San Francisco, Bobby collaborated with a variety of groups and organizations including the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, Sophia Bacelar (cellist for Hans Zimmer), the Telegraph Quartet, the Chabot Space and Science Center, and many more.

Bobby has written music for short films, feature-length indies, and documentaries. Finding new avenues to immerse himself in the exterior narrative whilst crafting his own palette and voice within the film, scoring is the foundation of the composer’s work. In 2023, Bobby served as a composer and MIDI assistant for the production Secret Art of Human Flight directed by H.P. Mendoza.

Being raised in the Rocky Mountains, Bobby often enjoys high-altitude thrills when he isn’t composing. He is a certified skydiver and finds great inspiration in mountain climbing and being outdoors.

With a spirited and unique compositional style, sense-of-community, and diverse versatility, Bobby continues to add projects to his proven track record, keeping his eyes ahead on the next musical moment, every step of the way.
